The AHRC Creative Communities Co-Lab Policy Network Awards will be new cross-sector cultural policy networks in devolved nations and regions of the UK. They will create new capacity for cross-sector collaborative exchange of policy ideas relating to culture and devolution (regional and national) in the context of the UK Government Missions.
Over a year-long series of Co-Lab Policy Network events, each award will bring together a unique network of cross-sector partners and participants. These awards will demonstrate fair and inclusive engagement across the devolved nation or region in representation and activities, before culminating in a December 2026 all-network summit to share their policy outcomes and learning.
Each Co-Lab Policy Network Award will publish a Policy Priority Paper in March 2027, making policy recommendations to relevant policymakers and governing bodies in their devolved government.
The Co-Lab Policy Network Awards will grow the reach and impact of AHRC Creative Communities programme interventions through actioning learnings generated from this evidence base. They will generate new opportunities to connect cross-sector communities in devolved contexts and develop learning and relationships with policy-makers in devolved nations and regions.
The Co-Lab Policy Network Awards will build on our Creative Communities Culture and Devolution Policy Provocation Papers, Policy Labs and Policy Sprints to build a new evidence base on best practice for policy makers working in culture, R&D and devolution.
